Ship Equip establishes operations in Houston, Singapore
ALESUND, Norway — Ship Equip, a broadband communications provider for the maritime industry, announced two new Network Operations Center facilities in Houston and Singapore, according to a recent release from the company.
The new facilities will support Ship Equip’s primary location in Alesund, Norway.
More than 800 vessels including tankers, freighters, and commercial fishing boats currently use the company’s Ship Equip VSAT system for their email, Internet, and voice communications, the press release stated.
“Our company motto is ‘Seven Seas, One Communication Provider’, and this expansion demonstrates how committed we are to meet the growing needs of our global customer base,” said Ship Equip CEO Ivar Nesset in the release. “We’ve invested in the facilities, technology and expertise to ensure optimal communications experiences for our clients and the highest possible level of service and support in all areas of the world.”
