Caravelle Powerboats under new ownership
AMERICUS, Ga. — Caravelle Powerboats reported this week that it is under new ownership.
Eugene Sak and Duane Sak of Florence, Ala., purchased the brand. The brothers own and operate several business units that include elevators and metal fabrication.
The new owners says they are dedicated to the dealer-distribution model and will focus on smaller inboard 18’- 23’ models.
“While overpriced boats are struggling in the marketplace, Caravelle can happily
deliver,” Eugene Sak said in a release.
“A known brand like Caravelle makes it easy for dealers to sell to the cost-conscience consumer,” Duane Sak added.
The new ownership went into effect on Nov. 9, and the brand, which had limited production since August 2009,
went back to production.
