Breakwater Marine expands to U.S. market
FERNDALE, Wash. — Breakwater Marine, headquartered in Surrey, B.C., will open its first U.S. location in Ferndale, Wash., according to a recent news article in the Bellingham Herald.
The Ferndale dealership will offer sales of new, used, and consignment recreation and fishing boats, as well as provide servicing and storage.
Breakwater Co-Owner Fred Moore will manage the new U.S. facility, while Co-Owner Aaron Fell will control the Canadian operations.
“People thought we were crazy to do this given the economic climate,” Fell said in the article. “But this climate forces you to learn good habits and run a tight business. We’ve also been focused on customer service, because building loyal customer base is what you have to do right now.”
The Ferndale location is scheduled to open in mid-October.
