TakeMeFishing.org honored for creative excellence
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — TakeMeFishing.org, a website designed for boaters and anglers to learn, plan, and equip for a day on the water, won the W3 Gold and Silver Award for website design and development from the International Academy of the Visual Arts, according to a recent press release from the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation.
IAVA’s W3 Awards honor outstanding websites, Web advertising, Web video, and mobile apps. Winners are selected by media firm professionals belonging to the IAVA.
“By delivering practical information, fun and community in a dynamic, inviting context, TakeMeFishing.org is attracting more and more people to boating and fishing each year,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson in the release. “Innovative elements and design, now honored by IAVA, have been key to our website strategy from the start.”
Last year, TakeMeFishing.org logged four million visitors.
