Bayliner plant sells for $1.3 million
SALISBURY, Md. — Brunswick Corp.’s former Bayliner plant in Salisbury has sold for $1.3 million, according to a report in Salisbury’s Daily Times.
The buyer is Wade Rentals, a local, family owned business that intends to announce soon its intentions for the sprawling building on about 25 acres.
The property has been vacant since the Brunswick Corp. closed the plant in early 2008 and moved the division to Brunswick County, N.C., where it had a similar operation. Bayliner’s departure from Salisbury cost close to 200 local jobs.
