Furuno USA Inc. has been awarded a multi-year, multi-million dollar U.S. Coast Guard contract. The contract is for the replacement of up to 200 aging radars on the USCG Cutter Fleet. The Cutter Fleet consists of a variety of vessels including 87-foot Coastal Patrol Boats, 140-foot Ice Breaking Tugs, 160-foot Inland Buoy Tenders, 225-foot Seagoing Buoy Tenders and 399-foot Nuclear Icebreakers.

Raymarine Inc. has renewed its long?standing Preferred Supplier of Choice agreement with the American Boatbuilders Association (ABA). Raymarine has been an ABA Preferred Supplier since 2002.

Nautique has started a new dealer direct distribution program for Australia, the company said in a release. “As part of our execution of a new international sales plan, our team has made the decision to change the distributor sales model in Australia model and deal directly with our dealers,” Nautique President/CEO Bill Yeargin said. “We believe this new model, combined with our newly announced dealers, gives Nautique the best and most exposure in Australia and will give Australians the best opportunity to enjoy the incredible benefits that come with the Nautique life.” The Australian Nautique dealers include Broadway Marine in Perth, Victoria Nautique in Melbourne, Nautique Central Pty Ltd in Brisbane. The company says additional dealers will be announced shortly.

After a 41-year tenure with the magazine, SAIL’s executive editor, Charles Mason, has retired. Mason is one of the original members of SAIL’s editorial team hired by entrepreneur Bernie Goldhirsh, who launched SAIL in 1970. Mason has worked on every issue of SAIL since its debut issue in February 1970.

Cindy Sailor has been hired as Associate Publisher of Power & Motoryacht, according to a release from the magazine. Sailor is a 20-year publishing-industry veteran and had previously worked at PMY for six years in the role of Key Accounts and Southeast Sales Manager. In addition to her years in the marine industry, she has also worked with high-tech, dental and foodservice publications.
