AOC increases price for vinyl ester resin

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — AOC, LLC will increase prices for all vinyl ester resins in the amount of 8 cents per pound for all shipments within the United States and Canada, according to a release from the company. The implementation date for the increase is Oct. 1.

“Raw material increases can no longer be absorbed and must be passed along,” the company said in the release. “Key vinyl ester ingredients, including methacrylic acid and styrene, contributed to increase in cost.”

All shipments of K190 series resins will increase by 30 cents per pound within the United States and Canada. The implementation date for that increase is also Oct. 1.

“Extreme cost pressure for chlorendic anhydride – a significant raw material ingredient for K190 series products – is the primary cause for the increase,” the company said.

AOC also noted that additional increases are anticipated for K190 products in the future.
