Marquis Yacht Center of Atlanta, Ga., and the Singleton Marine Group partnered earlier this summer to host Luxury on the Lake, an invitation-only benefit to support The Chauncey Davis Foundation for diabetes. The Chauncey Davis Foundation’s mission is to serve as a vehicle for information and resources on general health and wellness with a focus on diabetes prevention and detection among youth and young adults. Chauncey Davis, the founder of this not-for-profit organization, is a veteran defensive end for the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons. Lake Lanier was the backdrop for the event, which was also supported by brands including Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin and Lamborghini automobiles along with the Patron Spirits Company. “Chauncey Davis and his namesake foundation do so much to support the special needs of young people who are afflicted by diabetes,” Anthony Aisquith of Singleton Marine Group said in a release. “We are proud to be part of this event and associated with Chauncey Davis and his foundation.”

The Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology recently reported that Westlawn student Jon Ames won the Professional Boatbuilder/WoodenBoat design competition in the wood category.
