Yamaha begins stimulus for dealers
KENNESAW, Ga. – Yamaha Marine Group has started to offer its dealers a package that includes a retail bonus coupon program and a retail sales growth bonus program in an effort to help boost profitability and grow retail sales, the company stated in a press release.
The “Buy Now” Retail Bonus Coupon program gives coupons to participating authorized Yamaha dealers who have a minimum of 15 Yamaha outboards that were warranty registered July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2010. The total amount of coupons awarded to each dealership depends on the number of Yamaha outboards registered during the time period. The program goes through Dec. 17.
“This program rewards dealers by giving them a powerful closing tool that can be used to sell either a Yamaha outboard or a Yamaha outboard-powered boat,” John Rigsby, national sales manager, stated in the release.
Along with the coupon program, Yamaha is giving its dealers who increase retail sales by 20 percent in 2010 bonus dollars to add to their Outboard Retail Sales Bonus program.
