EDGEWATER, Fla. — Everglades Boats recently reported a market share increase greater than at any time in the history of the company.
According to a release, in the 23 foot and above outboard powered boat market, Everglades is currently No. 1 in dollars and No. 3 in units in the state of Florida and No. 3 in dollars and No. 6 in units in the United States.
“It’s been amazing. 18 months ago, we had over 350 Everglades available for sale at the dealer level. Now we have sold 85 percent of that inventory (into the marketplace) and achieved all-time market share penetration,” Steven Dougherty, president of Everglades Boats said in the release.
Everglades reports it has enjoyed a market share increase in every sector.
“Our target is to have around 200 boats available for purchase on a national basis,” said Greg Allen, vice president of sales. “We are filling new dealer’s orders, filling our existing dealer’s orders and trying to build for the fall boat shows ... we’re pleased.”
