Boating Industry Intelligence You Can Profit From
A record-setting field has registered to compete in the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship, according to a release from BoatUS. This year, 330 collegiate anglers from across the nation are set to compete for the national championship title on May 27 and 28 at Lake Lewisville, Texas. The anglers have competed over the past year to earn the right to represent their schools at the event. The competitors will practice fish on May 25 and 26 on Lake Lewisville, and every two-person team attending the event will be provided a $100 Cabela’s gift card.
The United States Congress has recognized the American Sail Training Association (ASTA) as the National Sail Training Association of the United States as well as the United State’s representative in the International Sail Training Forum. Congress also commended ASTA for its advancement of character building experiences for youth at sea. The Senate passed Senate Resolution #158 on March 10. Principle sponsors included Senators John Kerry (D-Mass.), Jack Reed (D-R.I.), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
CRC Industries Inc. has acquired the Salt Terminator product line from Kwik Tek Inc., effective immediately. Kwik Tek will continue to manufacture and market a variety of marine accessory products under the Airhead, Sportsstuff, World Industries, Hull Hugr, Dry Pak, Jet Logic, ATV Logic and ScootR Logic brands, according to a release from CRC.
