Regal has best month since September ’08
ORLANDO, Fla. – Regal Marine Industries said today that in April the company experienced its best month for product shipments since September 2008.
“We shipped 150 boats in April and we anticipate May to be a strong month as well,” Tim Kuck, COO of Regal, said in a statement. “We are headed in the right direction; however, we continue to remain cautiously optimistic, knowing it will take time before we, and the industry as a whole, return to the rate of production and boat sales that we enjoyed prior to 2008.”
Regal has two production plants: one located at the Regal World Headquarters in Orlando and a second plant in Valdosta, Ga., that together employ 450 team members.
“This is encouraging,” Duane Kuck, CEO of Regal, said in a statement. “Throughout this economic downturn we have been working very hard to strengthen our position as a company by strongly supporting our existing worldwide network of premier dealers, bringing onboard new ‘A-level dealers,’ keeping our quality Regal team members intact, and building our new Regal Factory Showroom.”
