Boating Industry Intelligence You Can Profit From
LAKE FOREST, Ill. — All Brunswick boats brands except Hatteras and Cabo will make new model year products available in September, the president of Brunswick Boat Group told dealers in a recent letter.
“Last spring we announced our intention to move our 2010 model year conversion out a few months from the traditional change over period,” Brunswick Boat President Andy Graves told dealers. “Among the advantages, we believe this allowed you to continue to sell your inventory during the retail selling season, reduced the impact of retail lenders lowering available credit on existing inventory, and minimized consumer confusion over the introduction of new models during the selling season.”
Graves said after hearing from dealers, he believes the move worked and the advantages it provided remain relevant today.
“We continue to believe that this timing is the most appropriate,” Graves said, “and offers the most benefit to our dealers and customers.”
