In Brief: Boston Whaler, Hubbell Marine, Avalon Tahoe pontoons
Boston Whaler will help sponsor the 14th annual Bucket Full “O” Fun fishing tournament held near Daytona, Fla, on April 24, with proceeds benefitting the Halifax Health-Hospice of Volusia/Flagler’s Family Caregiver Program. The Bucket Full “O” Fun Tournament, put on by The Flagler County Sportfishing Club, is a combined-weight tournament. Participants can enter trout, flounder, drum fish or redfish at the weigh-in. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Halifax Health Hospice’s Family Caregiver Program, which supports family caregivers by providing them relief and respite while they care for and support their loved one through the end-of-life journey. Tournament winners will receive cash prizes: $1,200 for a first-place weight, $800 for second place, $600 for third place, $400 for fourth place and $200 for fifth place. Top junior anglers will receive trophies. In addition, the event includes a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction with wildlife art originals and prints from local artists.
To streamline international distribution, Hubbell Marine Electrical Products Group has brought on independent sales rep Brunger Export. The company will handle all territories outside the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. Joe DiMaria, Hubbell director of marine marketing and sales, said Brunger “will foster new relationships and work closely with our existing customers to insure that they continue to receive the support, coverage and service that are expected from Hubbell.”
Nat Ritch has joined the Avalon Tahoe pontoons sales team as a regional sales representative. His territory will be Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Ohio. Ritch brings 16 years of retail and wholesale experience to the position.
