Three companies join to create online marina services suite
NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. — A newly formed company, Marina Reservation Services LLC, is bringing together three big players in online marina management: Exuma Technologies (makers of DockMaster Software), Marinas.com, and online reservation systems and property management software maker Leisure Interactive LLC.
The new company’s suite of online software services manages online reservations and all other aspects of the marina business while also connecting marinas to boaters via an integrated marketing solution, it reported in a statement this morning.
“We saw a tremendous need for a simple yet powerful, easy-to-use, and cost-effective online technology solution for marina business owners to really leverage the power of the Internet to improve revenue performance,” Cam Collins, the newly named president of Marina Reservation Services LLC and Exuma Technologies. “By creating a new company that combines the knowledge, systems and expertise of the three companies … we can now deliver a variety of premiere online software solutions to help marina business owners grow their business.”
DockMaster will license Leisure Interactive’s property management system, known as Hercules, to power the new DockMaster Reservations and Front Office Revenue Management system.
“By migrating to the integrated DockMaster powered by Hercules platform, new and existing customers will continue to enjoy the expertise, service and support of DockMaster, along with the added benefits of the most advanced property management system available to marinas,” David McKnight, COO of Leisure Interactive, said in the release. “DockMaster powered by Hercules is easy to use with no software to install, no servers to maintain, no IT professionals to employ.”
Through Marinas.com and its affiliate network, the company said marina operators will be able to offer real-time online reservations to boaters for a variety of berth types.
“Marinas will now be able to make all of their annual, seasonal and transient slip inventory available to consumers on Marinas.com and an ever-expanding affiliate network,” Bruce Harris, president of Marinas.com, said in the release. “They will never lose another sale to phone tag or an e-mail black hole, and unlike a reservation request, a confirmed online reservation is delivered automatically by the system, and the best news – the reservation is completely paid in advance.”
