Yamaha Marine Group has signed an agreement to become the presenting sponsor of Florida’s Insider Fishing Report, a 26-week television show dedicated to anglers who fish in Florida. Formerly the Chevy Florida Fishing Report, the show had been missing from television screens for a season, but it will return April 8, as Florida’s Insider Fishing Report presented by Yamaha on Sun Sports network. The Emmy Award-winning show will air live on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Shows will be rebroadcast on Thursdays from 11:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.; Fridays from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.; and Saturdays from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.

After 13-1/2 years with Viking Life-Saving Equipment, the last 10 of which were spent as CEO and group managing director, Kjeld Amann will go into retirement following the Annual General Meeting on March 15. Looking forward, the company said it is well-positioned financially and market-wise to further expand and diversify its business. Amann will be succeeded as CEO by global sales and marketing director Henrik Uhd Christensen, who has been with Viking for 17-1/2 years with a 5-year tenure as managing director of Viking Germany.
Motor yacht manufacturer Fairline Boats has appointed Total Marine of Florida Inc. to represent the brand in Florida. The company will trade as Fairline Fort Lauderdale and undertake sales and service activities of the previous dealer, Fairline Florida. The new dealership has been set up by John and Tom Caruso, who currently operate Fairline New York, and will be headed by Fairline veteran Jim Renfrow, formerly VP of Fairline Boats North America. Renfrow will also be joined by Steve Leeson, the customer support manager for Fairline Boats North America. The new dealership will be based at Harbor Towne Marina, Dania, Fla., and will offer full service and sales facilities.
