Coastal Properties Management (CPM) adds a new facility to its management group with a contract awarded by Washington D.C. to manage the newly opened $8M marine terminal at Nationals Park named Diamond Teague Marine Terminal & Park. Mayor Adrian M. Fenty said, “We’re committed to building a vibrant dynamic world-class waterfront; and this is one more amenity that will serve both residents and visitors alike.” Coastal currently manages and owns several marinas throughout the Chesapeake Bay region from Baltimore, Maryland to Yorktown, Virginia and on the Potomac River.
Franklin Chang Díaz, chairman and CEO of Ad Astra Rocket Co. and former NASA astronaut, has been elected to the Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) Board of Directors. Chang Díaz, 59, becomes the 10th Cummins Board member, and will serve on the Board’s Safety, Environment and Technology committee, as well as the Audit, Finance and Governance and Nominating committees. His term begins immediately and he will stand for re-election at the company’s annual meeting next May. All Cummins directors are elected annually.
National Innovative Visions Inc., Hill City, Minn., makers of Elete Pontoons and Houseboats since 1996, has signed Lake Sutton Marina, based in Sutton, W.V., to its dealer network, making for a total of 16 U.S. dealers for the manufacturer. The sales staff of Lake Sutton Marina will be retailing Elete Pontoons in West Virginia and their surrounding selling and servicing area.
VETUS, the Dutch manufacturer and worldwide sales organization of marine diesel engines, bow thrusters and other technical boat equipment, has formed a new partnership with Great Lakes Marine Marketing (GLMM). GLMM will join VETUS as a manufacturer’s representative for the company in the United States. GLMM will represent both VETUS and Maxwell product lines in the Midwest US. Great Lakes Marine Marketing, who opened their doors for business over thirty years ago with a single product line, is based in Port Clinton, Ohio.
YachtWorld.com has appointed Tracy Hess as regional sales manager for South Florida. Until recently a regional manager for Boston Magazine, Hess previously held a similar position for nearly five years with Power and Motoryacht Magazine. At PMY, she built comprehensive branding programs through print campaigns, online interactive media, direct mail and broadcast events. During that time, Hess served as regional sales manager for both the southeast and northeast regions.
