In Brief: MRA, Correct Craft, Webasto, Xantrex, MESCO
More than 200 marina industry leaders attended MRA’s 38th Annual Educational Conference and Trade Show, according to organizers. Mariann Timms, principal organizer of the event, said attendance exceeded expectations. “We had a full exhibit hall and plenty of interest and activity for all concerned,” Timms said in a release. The event took place Nov. 3-5 at Harrah’s on Lake Tahoe.
Terri Schneider has taken over as marketing coordinator for Correct Craft Inc., producer of the Nautique boat line. Communications efforts were previously handled by Sarah Easter, who will be leaving Correct Craft at the end of this year to pursue an opportunity as a business development volunteer overseas.
Webasto Product North America has selected Xantrex Technology’s inverter/chargers to power its marine air-conditioning systems, according to a release from Xantrex. The Webasto FCF-DV 5000 and FCF-DV 9000 air conditioning systems are now available with the Xantrex Freedom HF or the Xantrex IP1012 Weatherproof Inverter/Charger.
Xantrex has also initiated a new corporate direction for its marine markets, which the company says will simplify and improve its OEM and aftermarket customer options. The marine division of Xantrex has heavily invested in the research and development of sine-wave power solutions for both marine OEM and aftermarkets. As a result, Xantrex is effectively consolidating its product line in the onboard power category, which includes both inverters and inverter/chargers.
