SUSSEX, Wis. – Marine Web Services (MWS), a division of Dominion Enterprises, has launched Web Site Flix as part of its dealer Web site solutions offering, the company reported in a recent statement.. Web Site Flix allows marine dealers to upload and manage videos for use on their Web site.
“It’s no secret that the attention spans of today’s consumers are getting shorter,” said Dave Valentine, national sales manager for Marine Web Services. “They want as much information in as little time as possible. What’s more, they want to be entertained while getting that information. MWS’s Web Site Flix is an excellent way for dealers to both grab and keep their site visitors’ attention by offering dealership-specific videos directly on their web site.”
MWS’s Web Site Flix allows a dealership to upload an unlimited number of videos, each up to 80 MB in size. Each video can be labeled with a title, description and keywords that make the video, and the web site, more search engine friendly, according to the company. Videos are considered property of the dealership and will not be redistributed by MWS.
Once uploaded, the videos and associated information appear in a Video Library on the dealer’s Web site. The library also lists the most recent videos, the most watched videos and any categories of videos the dealer may have created (Service, Parts, etc.). If a dealer wishes to post videos to other pages of their Web site, Web Site Flix also creates embeddable code that can be copied and pasted into the text area of a web page, the company explained.
Web Site Flix allows dealers to load videos to listings of their dealer-loaded inventory as well. When a site visitor pulls up the specs for that inventory item, they will be able to view the associated videos for that model. Or, if viewing the video from the library page, they will be able to click a link to get the model specs and information or request a quote.
“While comparable video products are available for hundreds of dollars per month,” stated Valentine, “MWS felt it necessary to create an effective video solution that was also affordable for dealers. From our dealers’ initial reaction, we feel like we did just that.”
