ORLANDO, Fla. — As part of its second annual national awards program at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show, Marine Marketers of America will feature a keynote presentation by Carl Blackwell, chief marketing officer of the National Marine Manufacturers Association, on utilizing social media, according to a release from MMA.
Specifically, the talk will discuss how the NMMA is using social media to maximize its Discover Boating marketing investment.
The event is slated for Thursday, Oct. 29, at Bahia Mar and includes social networking, a lunch buffet, the keynote presentation and the awards program. It will run from noon to 2 p.m. Cost is $35 per person and advance reservation with payment is required.
“Even during this challenging economy, our industry’s top marketers have submitted excellent work for the competition, and we expect the judging is going to be very lively,” awards chair Sally Helme said in the release. “We also believe packaging our awards program in combination with this powerful and highly relevant keynote topic will make this ‘the event not to miss’ for marine marketers.”
