Scout Boats creates dealer inventory sharing program
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. — Boat builder Scout Boats, Inc. has developed a dealer inventory program in an effort to help reduce aged inventory for its dealerships during this current economic state, it reported in a recent statement.
Scout’s Dealer Linked Inventory Program was designed in conjunction with one if its partners, Dealers Circle. It allows a Scout dealer to post current boat models for sale for other dealers in the network to view and sell from, or to locate a specific model in another dealership’s inventory.
“This new program will help our dealers work together to make room for 2010 models, and was an important investment for us to make,” said Scout Boats National and International Sales Manager Alan Lang. “It’s easy for our network to use, and is one more thing we can do to help our dealers during these difficult times.”
