Regulator Marine names Dealer of the Year

GENOA, Italy – Regulator Marine has named Italy-based International Marine Dealers (IMD) the company’s 2009 Dealer of the Year, the company reported in a recent statement. The award ceremony took place on Tues., Oct. 6 during the Genoa Boat Show when Regulator President and Owner Joan Maxwell gave the award to Antonio Moscato, owner of IMD. The award recognized IMD for exemplary sales in the 2009 Model Year and exceeding all other Regulator dealers in units and dollars sold throughout the Regulator Dealer Network, according to the boat builder. IMD has represented Regulator Marine in the Italian market since 2005.

“IMD’s dedication to the Regulator product has been recognized in over 25 boat tests in Italian publications and grown our Italian market share exponentially since 2005,” commented Maxwell. “IMD’s success in the 2009 Model Year has allowed us to continue to operate at a higher than expected capacity in a very strenuous year and represents a major success story for our operations.”

Two days later, IMD was awarded the International Trade Achievement Award by the United States Department of Commerce, according to Regulator Marine. Presenting the Award was Consul General to the Milan District, Carol Z. Perez. Consul General Perez noted, “this is the first time an International Marine Dealer has achieved such a prestigious accomplishment and been recognized by the United States Department of Commerce.”

Attending the events were show participants, writers and editors from the Italian Marine Industry and Yamaha Europe Motor Sales and Marketing Manager Jan Hendrik Krijnen, Regulator reported.
