SEATTLE — Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a Washington woman killed when her boat capsized in July, according to a report from KING 5 News in Seattle.
Authorities haven’t yet concluded if the Tiger Trax brand ski boat the woman was on played a role, KING 5 reports. Detectives are also looking at whether the boat, which had 10 people on board, was overloaded and whether alcohol could have been a factor.
As part of its own investigation, KING 5 asked retired ship builder David Holdsworth to inspect a different Tiger Trax brand boat built around the same time as the capsized model. Holdsworth found serious flotation problems in his inspection.
