The 2010 Smoker Craft Inc. and Starcraft Marine Dealer Meeting was held over a three week period in August, with an additional meeting to be held in Stayton, OR in September. Attendance exceeded expectations, according to Phil Smoker, vice president of corporate sales. Dealers of Smoker Craft Inc. and Starcraft Marine met together for the first time at the New Paris, Ind., manufacturing facility. New product introductions included the Starcraft 2018 RE runabout, a new bay boat fiberglass series, the new welded Starweld aluminum line, and the new Stardeck pontoon line. Seminars presented by Bill Thompson from Cardinal Point Network, John Trkla, Red Oak Marketing, and Matt Gruhn, Boating Industry Magazine were focused on helping dealers navigate through today’s challenging business environment, according to the company. The Harold Schrock Starcraft Cornerstone Award was handed out to Jerry and Diana Woods of Woods Surfside Marina, Cropwell, Ala., and the Smokercraft Family of Products Byron Smoker Award of Excellence was handed out to Tom and Pat Keith of Keith’s Marina, West Bend, Wis. The meeting will conclude in Stayton, Ore., on Sept. 21.
Brunswick Marine Parts & Accessories (Land ‘N’ Sea Distributing, Kellogg Marine Supply, and Diversified Marine Products) will now distribute a line of shore power products from Furrion LLC, the company reported in a recent statement. Furrion’s products – cordsets, cables, adapters, plugs and inlets – feature the company’s SMART technology. Brunswick Marine Parts & Accessories distributes over 60,000 marine products from 13 locations across the United States and Canada and in a cooperative effort with Mercury Marine’s Latin America and Caribbean division, serves over 60 additional countries worldwide.
