Waterfront Festival added to 2009 Norwalk Boat Show
NORWALK, Conn. – The Norwalk International In-Water Boat Show has been renamed the Norwalk Boat Show & Waterfront Festival as organizers add new features to the event, including free live music, it was reported in a recent statement.
The show will take place Sept. 24-27 at the Norwalk Cove Marina in East Norwalk, Conn., offering boaters and non-boaters a chance to see and shop for boats, marine gear and accessories. Other offerings include free live music from local and national bands; a “meet and greet” with stars of the Deadliest Catch; free Discover Boating rides; an Oktoberfest tent with microbrews, Bavarian fare and fresh local seafood; a Fish Tales contest judged by Deadliest Catch Time Bandit Co-Captains John and Andy Hillstrand; fishing seminars; a children’s activity area called Kid’s Cove and more.
Organizers are also offering pre-show shopping online at BoatShowNorwalk.com. Show goers can plan ahead and search boats by brand, model and more, in addition to scheduling dealer appointments.
