New boat show to debut in New Jersey

MANASQUAN, N.J. – The inaugural Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo will be held in Lakewood, New Jersey’s FirstEnergy Park, September 18- 20, the Marine Trades Association of New Jersey reported in a recent statement. The three-day boating sales event will feature new and pre-owned boats and accessories for sale by local marine retailers.

The event was organized by MTA/NJ to offer a low cost, one stop alternative to marine dealers and consumers at an easily accessible and popular venue, the group said. It will feature over 35 new boat lines, a pre-owned boat marketplace and boating accessories.

The Recreational Fishing Alliance and The Fisherman Magazine are partnering up to present a lineup of professional seminar speakers on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the event. In addition, representatives from the National Marine Fisheries Service, RFA, MTA/NJ and the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife will host a Fisheries Town Hall meeting featuring an open forum discussion on the new saltwater registry and its impact on New Jersey’s saltwater fishermen.

Event details, including information on exhibiting, are available online at jerseyboatexpo.com. All proceeds from the event will go back to the association to support its efforts to promote and protect the recreational boating industry in New Jersey, stated MTA/NJ.
