Skipper Bud’s expands Midwest Marine Repo Center

MARBLEHEAD, Ohio — Skipper Bud’s is opening its second Midwest Marine Repo Center after finding success with its first location, the company reported in a release this week. Skipper Bud’s Marblehead, Ohio, dealership will now serve as a liquidation site for larger repo product from around the country and particularly the East Coast.

The first Midwest Marine Repo Center in Oshkosh, Wis., started by purchasing 150 units from a dealer bankruptcy. Today, Skipper Bud’s says only 15 units remain from the original purchase.

“As the excitement around the Midwest Marine Repo Center grew, floorplan companies became interested and recognized they could liquidate inventory within a discounted price structure,” Skipper Bud’s said in the release. “The Midwest Marine Repo Center in Ohio has a large product mix and has created another visible, marketable and accessible venue for all types of boats from 16’ to 60’, all makes and models.”

According to Skipper Bud’s, the Wisconsin location has doubled its sales year over year. Also, in addition to selling to consumers, the company says dealers have purchased inventory directly from the Repo Center.

Skipper Bud’s has 20 locations throughout the Midwest serving boaters in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Mississippi, Arizona and Florida.
