ISS, MIASF and USSA partner to offer industry training

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Three marine industry groups have joined to form the professional development program YachtInfo, which will debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, according to a release Monday.

The groups are the International Superyacht Society (ISS), Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and United States Superyacht Association (USSA).

“The comprehensive program offers a wide-ranging curriculum for entry level crew through seasoned professionals,” the release states. “The day-time program builds upon the ISS’s Crew Training Seminar program which has occurred for the past 14 years. Capping the day-long educational series, a Captains Briefing and Cocktail Party will follow.”

The 50th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show takes place Oct. 29 through Nov. 2, and YachtInfo is scheduled for Oct. 30. The program requires advanced registration.

Tickets for the seminars are $25. Complete tickets, which include the seminars, Captains Briefing and Cocktail Party, are $35.

After the Fort Lauderdale event, the release says YachtInfo will continue to present worldwide educational opportunities.
