IRWINDALE, Calif. – Gibson Fiberglas will soon be opening a new 40,000-square-foot
warehouse facility in Elkhart, Ind., to replace its original 12,000-square-foot warehouse, it reported in a recent statement.
“This expanded facility will allow us to better serve our customers east of the Mississippi,” said Joe Peng, president.
The new building will include office space for warehouse employees and regional sales, as well as space for customer visits and team meetings.
“While the economic situation has negatively impacted many of our customers in the composites industry, we fully expect a turn-around in the near future. We want to be prepared to service our customers when demand for reinforcements increases,” said Peng.
Joshua Cantu is the manager of the new facility, located at 4800 Beck Drive in Elkhart.
“Our customers rely on us to deliver materials on time and in good shape. The additional space will allow us to coordinate inventory turnover much more efficiently,” stated Cantu.
Gibson Enterprises, Inc. is a supplier of fiberglass reinforcements and fabrics to the marine industry, as well as several other industries. With distribution Centers in Miami, Fla., Elkhart, Ind., and Irwindale, Calif., Gibson is able to supply reinforcements to all regions of the U.S. and Canada, it stated.
