Torqeedo, Hobie form partnership
CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. — Torqeedo and kayak producer Hobie Cat Company have teamed up to develop new products, the companies reported this week.
To start, the companies will combine Torqeedo’s Ultralight 402 kayak motor and Hobie’s kayak designs. Their first joint product will be launched in September.
The companies have joined forces at past trade shows and say they are excited to take their collaboration to the next level.
“We’re looking forward to working with Hobie in the future and the products we’ll develop together,” Torqeedo co-founder and managing partner Christoph Ballin said in a statement. “It’s only natural for our companies to work together, offering kayakers the best equipment on the market.”
