Sea Tow expands Texas operations, consolidates Massachusetts coverage

SOUTHOLD, N.Y. – Marine assistance provider Sea Tow Services International has added Lake Texoma, along the northern Texas/southern Oklahoma border, to the Sea Tow North Texas operation, it reported in a recent statement. In addition, Sea Tow Buzzards Bay and Sea Tow Southern Massachusetts have merged to become Sea Tow Cape and Islands.

“The addition of Lake Texoma extends all the benefits of Sea Tow membership to boaters along this scenic, 80-mile lake,” said Sea Tow Chief Operations Officer Capt. Joseph Frohnhoefer III. “Meanwhile, the consolidation of operations in southern Massachusetts ensures the seamless continuation of coverage for the thousands of boaters in that area.”

This is the second location for Sea Tow North Texas Texas (formerly, Sea Tow Lake Lewisville), which began operating two years ago on Lake Lewisville near Dallas, the company explained.

“This expansion is in direct response to requests from our members, as well as boaters on Lake Texoma who asked for Sea Tow to open a location there,” said Paul Arcediano, who along with Kelly Ramsey operates the Sea Tow North Texas franchise.

Arcediano also owns and operates Sea Tow Central Texas, which has locations on Lake Austin and Lake Travis, northwest of Austin. He opened that operation with partner Pete Clark in 2006, Sea Tow reported. Sea Tow Central Texas has a fleet of three vessels on both lakes and is the only marine assistance provider authorized on Lake Austin by virtue of an arrangement with the city of Austin, the company stated.

For Capt. Curt Jessup, owner of Sea Tow Cape and Islands, the addition of Sea Tow Southern Massachusetts to his growing operation expands his territory. Sea Tow Cape and Islands’ operational area now extends from the Rhode Island border to the eastern shore of Monomoy Island, including Vineyard Sound, Nantucket Sound and Buzzards Bay.

“As the owner of Sea Tow Buzzards Bay over the past three years, I developed an excellent working relationship with former Sea Tow Southern Massachusetts owner, Capt. Don Lynch,” Jessup said. “I look forward to continuing his tradition of superior customer service throughout the region.”

The new Sea Tow Cape and Islands franchise operates four vessels. Its main office is located at Kingman Yacht Center in Cataumet, Mass. Sea Tow Cape and Islands recently relocated its western dispatch center to South Wharf Yacht Yard in South Dartmouth, Mass., and constructed a new dispatch facility at MacDougalls’ Cape Cod Marine Service on Falmouth Harbor to better service Vineyard Sound and Nantucket Sound boaters, Sea Tow reported.
