Taylor Made Systems launches marine glass repair service

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. – Taylor Made Systems has launched Taylor Made Advantage Plus, a new repair service for broken, leaking or inoperable marine glazings that have outlived their warranties, the company reported in a recent statement.

“Whether it’s windshields, windows, hatches, doors, glass roofs, portlights – anything on a boat that involves glass – our field service technicians will come right to the boat and use their exceptional knowledge and skills to fix the problem,” said Mike Oathout, vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Made Systems.

Boat companies and dealers usually provide OEM-direct service parts for up to seven years. Taylor Made Advantage Plus provides OEM factory-direct parts, even for boats that surpass that seven-year timeframe, the company explained. The technicians are fully insured and certified, and their workmanship carries a warranty from Taylor Made Systems.

“Given the current economic climate, a lot of people are opting to fix up older boats instead of buying new. Lately, we’ve been inundated with calls regarding repairs on very outdated glass products,” said Oathout. “We’ve decided that offering a marine glass repair service is the perfect way to provide boat owners, dealerships, marinas and refit yards with an OEM-direct, factory-trained solution that will, above all else, get people back on the water with the minimum amount of downtime and the maximum regard for their safety.”
