Stabicraft Marine opens new U.S. headquarters
INVERCARGILL, New Zealand — Stabicraft Marine, a New Zealand-based builder of rigid-hull aluminum boats, has opened a new 10,900-square-foot U.S. headquarters, the company reported today in a release.
The facility in Mount Vernon, Wash. — about 60 miles north of Seattle — includes 800 square feet of office space for dealer sales, customer service and administration; a 2,100-square-foot warehouse and receiving area housing final assembly and pre-dealer delivery inspections; and 8,000 square feet of yard space where boats are displayed for dealers and available for customer and media sea trials.
“Our new facility is strategically located on Interstate 5, about halfway between Seattle and Vancouver to serve and expand into the U.S. and Canadian markets,” said Paul Adams, managing director at Stabicraft Marine. “We also have quick and easy access to water for sea trials only 20 miles away.”
Marty Smith, who was recently named Stabicraft’s North American sales manager, will oversee the new headquarters.
“Stabicraft Marine’s goal is to double the size of its business overall in the next three to four years, which implies significant growth in the North American market,” concluded Smith.
