CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Charleston In-Water Boat Show has been canceled, organizers told the Charleston Post and Courier.
The event, in just its second year with its current name, had been scheduled for April 23-26.
"It was not an easy decision, but we had to weigh all the factors," Robbie Freeman of Maritime Events told the paper. "Was it better to have a poor show or no show at all? It was a hard call for us."
Organizers said they plan to hold the show next year, the paper reported, with hopes the economy will have improved.
