ST. PAUL, Minn. — Gander Mountain will hold a grand opening in Springfield, Ill., for its 116th store, the company reported in a release this week. Festivities will take place April 3-5, with the store offering extended weekend hours.
A ribbon cutting at the new 57,000-square foot store will take place at 8 a.m. on April 3 and the weekend will feature daily giveaways, appearances by hunting and fishing experts as well as former major league players and family-oriented activities, the company stated.
Gander Mountain will be giving away $10 gift cards to the first 100 shoppers through their doors each day of the event. In addition, the first 250 shoppers each day to make a purchase will receive a welcoming gift and shoppers may register to win one of three $500 Gander Mountain gift cards and a trip for two to the 2009 Fall Talladega Superspeedway Race in Alabama on Nov. 1.
