Skipper Bud’s to lease former Heckel’s property, auction off parts

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Skipper Bud’s will lease the former Heckel’s Eagle River Marina property to the Track Side powersports and marine dealership, the companies said in a release this week. In addition, Skipper Bud’s will auction off parts and accessories from Heckel’s, the company said.

Skipper Bud’s acquired the marina in a bank auction in January. Track Side will move into the facility April 1 and be open for business on May 1, according to the statement.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to expand our business,” said Track Side Owner Butch Grenier said. “Although we have always been in the marine business, this location on the water will allow us to better serve our customers.”

The new dealership will be called “Eagle River Marine” and will offer many of the same services as in the past along with a few new items, the statement reported.

Skipper Bud’s will also be auctioning off all parts and accessories from the former Heckel’s dealership through a silent, single bid auction. The auction will offer 70 lots, and Skipper Bud’s will be accepting bids on single lots or multiple lots, according to the company.

The lots can be viewed and inventoried March 15-17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 437 W. Division St. Eagle River, WI 54521, according to Skipper Bud’s. The lots are also posted on YouTube and can be located using the key words “Heckels Auction Lot.”

Bids are due by 5 p.m. (Central) March 20.
