OceanLED reports record-breaking Miami show

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The recent Miami International Boat Show was marine lighting systems manufacturer OceanLED’s most successful one to date, which the company attributed to a strong presence in its booth and at the docks and a well received launch of a new line of unique lighting systems.

“We were thrilled at the response we received from day one in Miami,” said Lee Savage, OceanLED CEO, in a company statement last week. “It’s clear that we’re hitting the right note with boat builders and boat owners alike with our new Amphibian Line, the first LED lighting collection created to be used both in and out of the water, as well as our complete line of advanced LED systems and accessories. It’s a great affirmation to receive from the industry, and we’re excited about how our brand will be resonating with the U.S. market moving forward.”

OceanLED also reported that Crook & Crook, an electronics, fishing and marine retailer that’s been in business since 1958, experienced Miami show sales that were unexpectedly robust, a significant portion of which came from OceanLED’s lines.

“In large part, our success at the show is directly attributed to the fact that we were selling OceanLED’s innovative products,” said K.C. Crook, the company’s president. “We had other vendors whose sales were down somewhat, but we encountered tremendous acceptance and enthusiasm for OceanLED’s line — their new Amphibians in particular were a perfect fit for countless boaters at the show — it was a huge home run.”

Among the companies whose boats at the docks featured OceanLED’s lights were Marquis, Viking, Fairline, Cranchi and Riviera yachts.

“The OceanLED lights installed along the entrance to the display gave the environment an upscale and inviting ambience that enhanced the Marquis Yachts brand every evening of the show. We are certain that the lighting effects provided by OceanLED products contributed to additional evening traffic in our display. They worked flawlessly throughout the event,” said Dick Nocenti, director of Marketing & Communications for Genmar Yacht Group.
