Loggerhead adds three new marinas
JUPITER, Fla. — Florida-based Loggerhead Club & Marina recently added three new marinas that are now open to the public in Daytona Beach, St. Petersburg, and Lake Okeechobee, according to the company. Loggerhead operates twelve marinas and over 3,000 slips in the state.
“Recreational boating is a traditional family pastime in Florida,” said Loggerhead COO Raymond Graziotto in a recent release. “We’re keeping our facilities open to the public, leasing rather than selling wet and dry slips, to preserve the boater’s right to access Florida’s waterways.”
All Loggerhead marinas operate on a first come, first served basis and are open to the public seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Yacht Club benefits, reciprocal dockage and other benefits are included with a dry or wet slip lease, the company said.
“There are three marina business models in the marine/marina industry,” Graziotto said. “The first is the wet slip or dry slip ownership, known as Dockominium or Rackominim; the second is a Yacht Club Marina, closed to the public, but open to its members for a fee; and the third is the Yacht Club free-with-a-lease model, and this is the Loggerhead Club & Marina model.”
