IMBC posts call for presentations

WARREN, R.I. — The International Marina & Boatyard Conference has posted a call for seminar presentations on its Web site, marinaassociation.org/imbc. The next IMBC conference will be held Jan. 27-30, 2010, in Tampa, Fla., and the deadline for submissions is May 8.

“We spend a great deal of time on the content portion of the conference and we want to be sure it speaks to our industry,” said AMI Chair and President Jim Frye in a release. “In order to do that, we need to hear from marina owners and operators, as well as boat repair and service yards.”

The conference, produced by the Association of Marina Industries and the American Boat Builders & Repairers Association, is aimed at marina-industry professionals, Certified Marina Managers, potential Certified Marina Managers, other marina operators, boat repairers, and others, according to the IMBC.

Presentations can be designed for all levels of experience, but IMBC officials ask that information be timely, informative and educational without overt company or product promotions.
