Tracker transfers aluminum boat production

BOLIVAR, Mo. – Tracker Marine Group is transferring all of its aluminum boat production from the company’s plant in Bolivar, Mo., to its plant in Lebanon, Mo., and is laying off 80 people as part of that move, according to a recent story on ozarksfirst.com.

In a statement, the company cited a softening demand for new boats in the 2009 model year, according to the story.

The company also said employees from Bolivar will be considered for available positions at the Lebanon plant.
