Grand Banks launches online parts store

SEATTLE – Grand Banks Yachts has launched a new online parts store, www.GBparts.com, the boat builder reported in a recent statement.

Customers can visit the web site to order and purchase Grand Banks and OEM parts, including hardware, electrical components and special-order items such as the builder’s signature hand-made teak steering wheel.

Each part on this web site includes a large photo image, description, specifications and pricing information. Purchases can be made directly from the site using a secure credit card transaction system, according to the company.

Grand Banks owners will find parts for the company’s newer yachts, as well as some components for retired models. Because parts orders are placed directly with Grand Banks factory, customers searching for out-of-date parts can also get recommendations for appropriate replacements.

“We wanted to give our owners the convenience of online ordering, and to do it right,” said David Hensel, director of brand and marketing for Grand Banks. “The web plays such a central role in the way customers connect with Grand Banks, this is just one more example of how we try to meet the rising demand for online support.”
