wins Web Marketing award

CHICAGO — was recently named the Best Associations Web site by the Web Marketing Association as part of its 2008 International WebAwards competition, the National Marine Manufacturers Association announced in a release.

Winners were selected by a panel of judges based on seven criteria rated on a 10-point scale: Design; ease of use; copywriting; interactivity; use of technology; innovation; and content. Awards were presented in a total of 96 categories.

“We were thrilled to learn swept the Associations category of the 2008 WebAwards,” says Carl Blackwell, Discover Boating Marketing & Communications director. “And later this year, many of the tools and content that helped us win this award will be available for industry stakeholders to use on their own sites.”

The Web Marketing Association was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and development of the best Web sites on the Internet.
