Green Marine Summit is launched

HUTCHINSON ISLAND, Fla. – The first ever Green Marine Summit has been launched and is scheduled to be held Oct. 10-11 at the Marriott on Hutchinson Island, Fla., according to a recent statement.

The event, described as a meeting of waterfront construction and development professionals discussing sustainable technologies, is being hosted by the Florida Marine Contractors Associations, the Marine Industries Association (Treasure Coast) and the Association of Marina Industries.

The event is intended to give attendees the opportunity to motivate the marine construction industry to action, learn what works from green building professionals, discuss clean water and clean marine ideas, find out how to make money going green, and meet and learn from profitable companies that provide green products and services, organizers reported.

Presentations will be made by Jan McAdams of The McAdams Group, Bellingham Marine, Forever Resorts, Sun Harbor Marina, MSpace Modular Holdings, and Michael Carlson, AIA, LEED AP.
