IMI releases 18-month training schedule

WARREN, R.I. — The International Marina Institute has released its 18-month training program and events catalog, the group announced today in a press release. The schedule features several new programs including a new marina operator’s course designed for people who handle daily operations at a marina but are not full-charge facility managers or full-charge managers who operate a facility with 100 slips or less.

The publication also lists the dates for regular courses such as “Intermediate Marina Management,” “Advanced Marina Management” and the “Marine Service Manager’s” school, as well as the institute’s annual two-day conference.

Another new program, “Climate Changes and Storm Preparedness,” is scheduled for July in New England. The conference will focus on the changing coastline, how it will impact the marina industry and how to best manage these changes to protect your marina, according to the Marina Institute.

The calendar is available for download at www.marinaassociation.org in the site’s “training” section.

The International Marina Institute has been training and certifying marina personnel for more than 15 years. It is a subsidiary of the Association of Marina Industries, a non-profit membership organization that provides training, education and information to the marina industry.
