VIP Boats assets to be sold at auction
SHREVEPORT, La. – A federal bankruptcy judge has ordered the assets of Vivian Industries, Inc., the builders of VIP Boats and boat trailers, to be sold at public auction next month, according to a press release received by Boating Industry.
Vivian Industries filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in March, and the auction for its assets will take place Sept. 19-20th at the VIP plants in Vivian, La., according Danny Lawler, the auctioneer. He also noted that day one of the auction will feature the boat molds and “basically all of the manufacturing equipment,” and the second day will focus on the trailer plant and the upholstery departments.
