NMSE 2009 expanded to five days
CANTON, Ga. – The Association of Marine Technicians will expand the 2009 National Marine Service Expo to five days, with up to 32-hours of training along with the trade show, AMTECH President and Executive Director Joe De Marco told members in a recent letter.
“As we all know, during the current economic slowdown marine service is proving to be a vital function for our industry,” De Marco wrote. “We also realize the sizable investment you have already placed in your career, so to help you maintain your competitive edge we’ve expanded NMSE training by popular request. Many members have asked that we expand the opportunity for training during this time of the year. It is felt that once the cost of travel has already been made, they would like to expand their training opportunities while in town.”
Early-registration discounts are also available to those who register for training by Nov. 1. AMTECH will extend a 25 percent discount off their cost of training, and those who register for all four days of training, will get another 10 percent off.
AMTECH members were also sent a survey with the proposed course outlines for NMSE and asked to choose which courses they would be most interested in attending. The survey will be used to help organizers determine which courses are offered.
