YachtWorld.com and YBAA co-sponsor educational events
SEATTLE, Wash. – YachtWorld.com and the Yacht Brokers Association of America (YBAA) are co-sponsoring two Yacht Brokerage University sessions for their mutual yacht broker members, they reported in a recent joint statement.
The first will be held at the Sheraton Providence Airport Hotel, Warwick, R.I on Aug. 5 and the second at the Doubletree Hotel, Annapolis on Aug. 7.
Attendees who already hold the Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB) designation will receive eight recertification credits by participating in the full-day event, according to the sponsors. The Yacht Brokerage University sessions are modeled on YBAA’s annual Regional Conference programs and the 70-plus YachtWorld University events that have taken place over the past three years in 35 locations throughout the U.S. and Canada and were attended by over 2,800 brokers and staff.
Both University sessions will include updates on products and services supplied by YachtWorld and YBAA as well as specific topics such as Building Better Listings and Boat Wizard Tips & Tricks, according to the sponsors. Regional topics will include updates by the Rhode Island Marine Trades Association, the Maryland Marine Trades Association, Maryland’s Broker Licensing program, Laws & Regulations seminars and presentations by the American Arbitration Assn, the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and Maryland Retailers Assn.
