IBEX organizers unveil plans for seminar series

BROOKLIN, Maine — Boat building trade show the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) will offer 53 sessions spread through ten tracks during the three-day event in October.

“IBEX is where boat builders learn to make progress happen,” said IBEX Co-Director and Professional Boatbuilder magazine Publisher Carl Cramer. “Seminar topics range from Design & Compliance of Boat Fuel Systems to Advanced Wood-Composite Construction. All of today’s advanced boatbuilding technology is covered and presented by more than 100 industry professionals who lend their expertise and experience as IBEX speakers.”

The IBEX 2008 technical seminar program is organized and produced by Professional Boatbuilder magazine, WoodenBoat magazine, ABBRA, and NMMA.
“No other marine event offers the wealth of information that is available in just three days at IBEX,” says Kathleen Clickett, IBEX show co-director and trade-events manager for NMMA. “IBEX is the global marine industry’s standard for growth and education.”

In conjunction with the conference series, IBEX 2008 will host more than 700 exhibitors in four exhibit halls, in addition to three special pavilion areas, and a 10,000-square-foot outdoor demonstration area.

IBEX 2008 will be held Monday, October 6, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Tuesday, October 7, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; and Wednesday October 8, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami Beach, Fla.
