Honda makes True 5 Warranty standard

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Honda Marine has made its True 5-year, factory-backed, non-declining limited warranty a standard feature for all Honda outboards (2-225 hp) purchased on or after July 1, 2008, for recreational use, the company reported in a release yesterday.

The warranty program will also no longer require a dealer participation charge, which Honda said was also an industry first. Coverage under the program is the same on the last day as it is on the first. Honda said its True 5 warranty offers full backing in comparison to the outsourced, extended-service contracts typically provided by other manufacturers.
