Zodiac begins free fuel promotion
STEVENSVILLE, Md. – Two of Zodiac’s most popular rigid hull inflatable boat models are now available with a $1,000 free gas promotion, available through participating dealers in North America, Zodiac of North America reported in a release this week.
The 28’ Zodiac Pro 20-Man and Pro Open 850 models, which are featured with the offer, are already two of the most fuel-efficient center console boats on the water. ZNA said they are over 40 percent more fuel-efficient than some of their fiberglass boat counterparts, due in part to the inherent weight advantages of RIBs compared to traditional hard-sided boats.
“By pairing this $1,000 free gas offer with two of our most popular, fuel-efficient center console RIB models, we’re delivering a one-two punch to high fuel prices that will really resonate with boaters,” said Howard French, vice president and general manager, Zodiac of North America, Recreational Sector.
Buyers will also have the option of choosing a $1,000 cash rebate instead of the free gas, ZNA said.
French noted that RIBs are one of the few categories showing growth in the marine industry. According to The National Marine Manufacturers Association 2007 Recreational Boating Statistical Abstract, inflatable sales increased by 17 percent in 2007. The RIB segment led sales with a nearly 46 percent market share.
